About Us

HOW WE WORK

The process of turning your ideas into beautiful published concepts happens in 4 phases:

  • We partner with you to define the editorial scope of your concept, develop an in-depth project proposal, and create sample pages to showcase your content. We guide you editorially and visually at every stage to ensure your proposal is strong, unique, and beautiful. If your project calls for photography or illustration, we find creative professionals with the skill and style to bring your concept to life. Our design team works with you to create a look for your project that you love. This process can take anywhere from 5–12 weeks, depending on the scope of your project and your bandwidth to collaborate with our team on moving forward.

  • Our team of publishing professionals pitches your proposal to the perfect editors at top publishing houses capable of making real offers on your project. We field all responses and guide you through the particulars so you understand the benefits and contractual obligations of any offer. Once you choose a home for your project, we handle all contract negotiations in conjunction with any legal services you wish to involve on your behalf, ensuring the best possible publishing deal for your concept. (3–6 months)

  • Once your project is sold, we work with you and the publisher to finalize a manuscript. We create a realistic timeline for production, art direct photography and illustration aligned with your vision, and design your project cover-to-cover. Throughout the process, we work closely with you and your team to bring to life your book, as you imagine it. We help you understand every editorial decision and ensure you are able to review every aspect of the project. (9–12 months)

  • Once your project is delivered to the printer, it’s time to plan a press and promotion strategy for publication. Your Indelible team has a vested interest in the success of your project, and we do all we can to assist you in the promotion of your book. This can include the design and production of preorder campaign assets, social media announcements, and book tour communication pieces. (6-9 months)

Anytime I meet a content creator who wants to write a book, I immediately refer them to Indelible. I don’t know how I would’ve written mine without them! They held my hand every step of the way and made the process so straightforward, plus they made Cheese Sex Death look absolutely stunning and on-brand! I am forever grateful and can’t recommend them highly enough.
